Moment-Of-Silence

Moment of Silence

DC102+

‘DC102+’, led by 102-year-old legendary fundraiser Dabirul Islam Choudhury OBE.  The launch of the project will take place on Saturday 16th April, at 2.01 pm, at the communal garden of his residence in Bow, East London.

The launch will be attended by faith leaders, women activists, and young Londoners from diverse backgrounds. The event will be marked by a ‘102 second’ silence for the victims of conflicts and covid, refugees around the world, and destitute mothers and children.  Globally, individuals from 102 countries will also join the campaign from their own countries at 2.01 pm (their local time) and mark their respect for Mr. Choudhury’s contribution towards humanitarian causes as well as raising funds for the RFC

These funds will provide shelter for the refugees & homeless, feed the destitute, provide education for young girls and boys, aid widows, and help war-torn communities affected by disasters. The donations will also help build mosques in the UK. The funds raised will be distributed equally amongst the charity partners of Channel S and those who are participating in the live fundraising programmes during the month of Ramadan.
