Love 4 NHS

The British Bangladeshi Community  was the Highest Victim Community from COVID-19 amongst BAME communities, yet from 100 years to 17 years the British Bangladeshi community were united to support the NHS. ‘Love for NHS’- was a live TV fundraising initiative to raise funds for the NHS by a British Bangladeshi satellite TV station- Channel S.

Led by Dabirul Islam Chowdhury OBE, then 100 years old, who already raised a significant amount for the NHS during his ‘Ramadan Walk’ while fasting during the whole month of Ramadan. He says ‘people say that I look so fit in this age, I say to them we have the fittest health professionals in our NHS! They keep me fit’
